Yasemin Sweet is a designer and maker based in Frome, Somerset. She creates unique designs using a combination of contemporary jewellery making styles and techniques alongside traditional filigree methods. The designs incorporate fine silver wirework encased in a sterling silver frame, with highlights of gold, textured silver and individually selected gems.
Inspired by forms and shapes of the natural world around her Yasemin explores and plays with the balance of geometrical shapes and natural curves. The contrasting elements of texture and subtle organic highlights can be seen throughout her expanding range of work.
Pieces are handmade by Yasemin from her workshop in rural Somerset, they are distinctive and though treading in the footsteps of tradition they have a contemporary flare.
As well as this widening range of contemporary work Yasemin accepts commissions and is happy to discuss ideas and bespoke designs.
